[PATCH] Clarity regarding locking

Hi everyone.

 1. I propose an amendment to the text as attached. This will clarify that one should read a file after, not before, it is relinquished by the previous lock owner.

 2. I'm new here. Is mailing a patch to this list an acceptable way of proposing such changes?
