 Things to note:

  * in my presentations, i use the phrase "opt-in/out system for working
 copy citizens based on tree depth selection"
  * use-cases (multiple sibling projects in a single repos, but you only
 want some of them)
  * that --depth supercedes --recursive and --non-recursive (though the
 older ones remain for compat)
  * that you cannot currently explicitly exclude an item altogether (you
 have to get its parent shallowly and then all the siblings explicitly)
  * that the depth selection is sticky
